Students pursuing a career in early child care/development and attending a California community college may be eligible to apply for the Educational Support Grant.

Grant funding (to support tuition and/or textbook costs) is based on submission of a complete application, the number of eligible students and successful completion of courses with a grade of "C" or better. Limited funding is distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Step 1: Confirm eligibility

Please answer the following questions to determine your eligibility for an Educational Support Grant

Are you currently enrolled in early childhood education or child development courses (or GE courses required for an AS/AA ECE or CD degree) at a California community college, with the intent to seek a new, or maintain a currently held Child Development Permit?

Are you employed in the child care field in California? (Must meet employment eligibility requirements.)

Do you live in California?

Are you enrolled in at least a 3 unit ECE/CD Practicum/Student Teaching course or in at least two (2) core Child Development/Early Childhood Education courses as approved by the campus administrator and/or CDTC staff for the current semester you are applying for?

What college is this application for? (Note: Students enrolled in courses at multiple California Community Colleges and/or multiple colleges within a college district, MUST submit a SEPARATE application for each college for each semester/term.)
